We put the Gospel on the air — through local hands

Galcom is the technical arm of hundreds of local ministries. They know the language, the culture, and the people. We supply the audio tools that let their ministry be heard.

The ministry model

Every Galcom project starts with a request from a ministry partner on the ground — a missionary, a national church, a Bible translation team. Together we work out what their community needs to hear God's Word:

The Compass — our current solar-powered player: an audio Bible in the local language and a radio fix-tuned to up to 12 partner frequencies, in one rugged, tamper-proof device that needs no batteries, grid, or literacy.
Complete radio stations — studio, transmitter, antenna, and training — so a local church can broadcast to its own region every day, plus the portable OmniStation for places where a permanent station isn't yet safe.
Streaming hardware — the Galcom Streamer and Stream Receiver, which carry a partner's signal past the edge of its transmitter and onto the phones people already carry.

The equipment is designed and repaired in our Hamilton, Ontario workshop, much of it by volunteers. Then it travels with mission teams, shipping partners, and national workers to the field — and we stay in relationship with the partner long after it arrives.
