First 500 Sahel radios are on their way

The first shipment for the Radios for the Sahel project cleared the warehouse this week — 500 solar radios, packed by volunteers, headed for our West Africa partner.

The first 500 radios for the Radios for the Sahel project left Hamilton this week. Volunteers packed, tested, and boxed every unit — each one fix-tuned to our partner's frequency and fitted with the solar panel that makes batteries irrelevant.

The partner's distribution plan is ready: local evangelists will place radios with listening groups across three districts, prioritizing villages with no church presence at all.

The project is now 64% funded. The remaining 1,000 radios ship as soon as the balance comes in — if you've been waiting for a project where your gift turns into something you can picture, this is it.
